On the base of Kharkov V.N. Karazin National University
School of Sociology in order to intensificate the
scientific, educational, metodical and research activity the Center for Improvenent of Sociological Education was
created. (in further text — Center).

The mission of Center is to reform system of
Sociological education as a part of Higher Education
system in Ukraine in conditions of democratic transformations.
Basic spheres of activity:

development
and implication the sociological education development
conception taking into consideration the world standards
and national needs;

institutionalization the system of lecturers and
researchers in Sociology qualification improvement;

study the problems of sociology education;
-
creation and development the information-communicative
and resource basis for sociological education
in Ukraine.
Main directions of Megaproject activity:

conducting
national sociological research: "Evaluation of sociological
disciplines teaching quality in Ukraine", "Labor
market of sociologists in Ukraine";

creating
of electronic database of scientific and pedagogical
personnel in Sociology of Ukraine;

establishing
of the Qualification Improvement Institute "Ukrainian
Sociological Studio"; holding Master-classes with
participation of Ukrainian and foreign experts in
field of sociology;

conducting
Summer Schools for young lecturers and scholars
in social disciplines;

assistance
lecturers and students in probations to leading
national and national universities;

conducting
annual International scientific-metodological conference
""Kharkov Sociological Readings";

creating
the Center of Advisory Help in employment for sociologists-graduates;

conducting
the All-Ukrainian competition of scientific papers
in sociology if High adn Higher School students;

establishing
Internet-club in order to provide an access to sociological
Internet-sources for students and lecturers ,acquaintance
with contemporary sociological information and providing
possibility of discussing problems connected to
teaching and research in sociology;

creating
couses and modules on sociological disciplines for
pri-university, university adn post-graduate education
(teaching sociology in lyceum, gymnasiums, bachelor
and master-courses, post-graduate and doctoral courses);

publishing
the sociological abstract "Contemporary Sociology
Education and Sociology Science Abroad";

developing
the Conseption of Sociological Education Development.
