MASTER-CLASS
The Center for Improvement of Sociological Education, created on the basis of Kharkov V.N. National University Karazin School of Sociology within the framework of realization of the International "Renaissance" Foundation Megaproject carries out Master-classes led by experts in the field of sociology. The master-class is a new form of dialogue in practice of work of sociologists other social scientists.
The idea of a Master-class is borrowed from pedagogical practice of musicians and artists - recognized master shows the unique working methods (for example, works on music performance) to the broad audience of the advanced students. Here, unlike at public performances, students have an opportunity to see process of masterpiece birth, to become timely disciples of the recognized master, that in real daily life is possible only to a few people. Both teachers, and students-beginners become there "disciples", cause Master-class allows to see both work at certain composition, and more general principles and approaches of pedagogical and performing activity. Therefore, the Master-class is both the form of improvement of professional skills and the special methodical approach. Uniqueness of this form of dialogue is that ways of the solution of pedagogical and performing problems, that often are not verbalized, are shown not on separate, isolated examples but in indissoluble connection with specific problems. And finally at students' eyes complete unique product is born.
The idea of carry Master-class into the practice of sociologists' dialogue is not occasional and is caused by rising of flexibility and surmountablity of rigid borders of cultural activity areas (for example, arts and sciences), the various sciences, separate directions of a science. There occurs an interpentration of ideas, technologies, working methods.
