From 17 till 26 of September, 2001 in Gorizia (North Italy) was conducting the VII International Summer School "Migration in Europe: Integration of Immigrants by the Low Models and the Role of Religion". The lecturer of Kharkov V.N. Karazin National University School of Sociology Irina A. Yevdokimova took part in the work of School.

In Crimea (tourist base Kichkine) the Master-class of professor Leonid G. Ionin "Postmodernity: New Magic Epoch" has passed. Lecturers of sociological disciplines from Kharkov, Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk, Odessa, Kherson, Luhansk. As the conclusion of the Master-class the publishing of the book is planned.

Center for Improvement of Sociological Education and Kharkov V.N. Karazin National University School of Sociology within the framework of realization of the Megaproject of International "Renaissance" Foundation "Higher Education: Leadership for Progress" announce the competition for participation in 5-th International Summer School for young lecturers and scholars in sociology, that will be conducted from 6 till 22 of September, 2001 in Crimea (Yalta).

The competetion for taking part in Harvard Summer School - 2001 is complete. The winners are: Olga Honcharenko (magister of Kiev-Mohila Academy) and Marina Bakhtigozina (Kharkov National University student.

East Ukrainian Foundation for Social Research and Kharkov V.N. Karazin National University School of Sociology begins the realization of the Megaproject of International "Renaissance" Foundation "Higher Education: Leadership for Progress". On the base of School of Sociology together with partner Departments there will be the "Center for Improvement of Sociological Education" founded. Dates of realization: 2001-2002.
