The collection of scientific works of International Scientific Conference "Kharkov Sociological Readings - 2001" participants, that is devoted to graduate of Kharkov University - M.Kovalevskiy was published.

The 7-th International Scientific Conference "Kharkov Sociological Readings - 2001" has began. The conference is organized by Kharkov V.N. Karazin National University School of Sociology and Kharkov branch of Sociological Association in frameworks of the Megaproject.

According to the plan of realization of the Decree of the President of Ukraine "About development of a sociological science in Ukraine" (25.04.2001) within the framework of the Megaproject of International "Renaissance" Foundation "Higher Education: Leadership for Progress" Kharkov V.N. Karazin National University began realization of sociological research "Quality of Sociological Education in Higher School of Ukraine". Results of the research will be used for improvement of sociologists' preparation quality and further development of sociological education in Ukraine.The score will be accessible to all sociological divisions and all sociologists and teachers interested in advancement of the professional work.

East Ukrainian Foundation for Social Research with Kharkov V.N. Karazin National University School of Sociology begins the mass poll of Ukrainians (N=2400) within the framework of the project "LLH - Living conditions, Lifestyles and Health" (Copernicus-2).
