School of Sociology of Kharkov V.N. Karazin National

Foundation (Kiev, Ukraine) and Open Society Institute,
(Budapest, Hungary) since 1997 conduct annual
International Summer School for young scholars
and teachers of social disciplines. Since 2001
the school passes within the framework of the.

Young scientists from the post-Soviet countries and East
European states take part in work of School. Lecturers
are prominent sociologists and political scientists from
the countries of Western Europe and USA, Ukraine, Russia,
Byelorussia.
Primary goal of the ISSS - increase of a methodological
and methodical level, maintenance of professional growth
of young sociologists by means of their scientific dialogue
with leading experts in the field of social sciences.
The International Summer School for young researchers
and teachers of social disciplines is carried out in
September in picturesque part of Crimea nearby to Yalta
on tourist base "Kichkine".
